YOGA AND NATURE

Immersed in a picturesque hilly area near Lake Trasimeno, La Cerreta is an ancient farm renowned for its production of high-quality goods, from olive oil to vineyards, with particular attention to dairy cattle breeding. The surrounding environment offers unmatched beauty and serenity, with lush green rolling hills preserving their authentic rural charm.

Villa Cerreta offers a spectacular panoramic view, with pastures, cultivated fields, and olive trees stretching to the horizon. Since 2009, the farm has launched the ArteCerreta Project, aiming to celebrate the millennia-old connection between art and nature with a contemporary touch.

During this extended weekend, we will guide you on a journey to discover birdwatching in Umbria!

Alternatively, we will explore the region’s unique geological features and landscapes!

Thursday

Arrival at the property and a guided tour of ArteCerreta: this walk is particularly evocative, as it truly connects each artwork with a natural and scenic fragment, passing through cultivated fields, woods, pine forests, and meadows, following a program tied to the themes of the art pieces. The artworks, created by various artists, seamlessly integrate into both the agricultural and natural landscapes. Each artist has chosen the location for their work, with the surrounding space, trees, and fields becoming part of the piece, embodying the spirit of the place. This approach offers a unique and original way to experience contemporary art while respecting the ancient union of art and nature.

Yoga session in a particularly evocative spot chosen by the group. Group dinner.

Friday

Morning yoga session followed by a transfer for a trek to Isola Polvese. Boarding at San Feliciano for a crossing of Lake Trasimeno. Upon arriving at Isola Polvese, the journey begins at the Service Center and leads to the Castle and the Church of San Giuliano. From there, the path follows the southern reed beds of the island and continues to the Church of San Secondo and the Olivetan Monastery. Walking along the ancient Processional Way, you’ll reach the Garden of Aquatic Plants before returning to the Service Center.
