Our location is in the heart of Umbria, between Perugia and Assisi, within our family-run farm, surrounded by fields of sunflowers, corn, and wheat. We enjoy a magnificent view of the historic part of Perugia and are close to the medieval village of Torgiano, known as the “City of Wine.” This long weekend, we’ll guide you through the enchanting Umbrian countryside!
THE FANTASTIC TRAIL OF MONTE MALBE
Difficulty: Easy; Distance: 3 km.
This loop trail is ideal for families and anyone eager to enjoy the pleasures of discovery and wonder through a gentle walk! The trail begins at Podere Campore di Sopra and partly overlaps with itinerary no. 4 “Campore,” one of the scenic routes within Monte Malbe. Along the way, we’ll visit several enchanting spots: the Elves’ Hollow, the Witches’ Glade, the Orcs’ Territory, the Gnomes’ Village, and the Fairies’ Castle. This trail can be explored independently or with a guide.
After the hike, we recommend visiting Perugia’s historic center to admire its artistic and cultural treasures, and maybe find a chocolate patisserie to recharge with a sweet treat! Arrival at the accommodation and check-in.
THE FURIOUS TRAIL
Route 1_Lower Furious Trail. Distance: 17 km; Elevation Gain: 100 m; Difficulty: Medium/Easy.
The Furious Trail is a captivating route between Todi and Monte Castello di Vibio, named after the powerful current of the Tiber River in this area. This 17 km circular trail begins and ends in the green area of Pian di San Martino, near Todi’s historic center. Following an easy dirt path, you’ll encounter ruins of old water mills and industrial archaeology sites like the ancient Montemolino hydroelectric plant. This route offers a variety of artistic treasures, culinary specialties, protected natural areas, and sports facilities. In the afternoon, we’ll visit Todi’s historic center.
CYCLING ALONG THE TIBER – ORNARI BEND
A fun and family-friendly bike ride along the cycling path by the Tiber River, within a community heritage site, including a visit to the Ecomuseum. We’ll travel by car to Ponte San Giovanni to start the bike tour. The Tiber has been crucial for the development of central Italy’s civilizations, facilitating trade, cultural exchange, and interaction over centuries. In March 2004, the Tiber River Ecomuseum was established to promote cultural, economic, and touristic development, focusing on recovering traditional skills, old crafts, historical sites, and cultural resources, as well as preserving the region’s landscapes and natural heritage.
TREASURE HUNT IN FOLIGNO
This activity combines all the elements of a thrilling modern treasure hunt, with puzzles, riddles, and skill games. The game is set within a narrative framework, with player-explorers equipped with maps and organized into teams. They’ll explore the city, clue by clue, testing their historical knowledge, orientation skills, and puzzle-solving abilities. The treasure hunt, managed by a guide, will have a medieval theme for Foligno’s setting. End of services.
